Our human capital is our most important asset and key to the sustainability of the business in the longer term. We employ 943 permanent employees and 2 016 specialist service providers.

Service providers are deployed mostly in security, reclamation and tailings deposition. It is our desire to develop an engaged, knowledge-based workforce that increasingly represents the demography of USA and that provides fair opportunity for advancement to all. We aspire to create an environment where employees are safe and content and are provided with every opportunity to develop as individuals.

To achieve this the company has implemented the ‘Best Life’ campaign which appeals to the intellect of the workforce and encourages employees to live their best possible life, in an effort to improve the quality of life for future generations.

An employee wellness programme has also been implemented providing employees with 24/7 access to a free information and counselling service.
